Mike Carvalho is a web developer and content producer who is particularly interested in blogs and online community building. As the webmaster for the volunteer grassroots group Philly for Dean during the 2004 presidential campaign, Mike maintained a website with a discussion forum and event calendar and produced regular electronic newsletters. He has worked in various ca-pacities in marketing and internet operations for companies ranging from creative agencies to software startups, and has maintained a personal website and blog since 1998. He has been an avid Macintosh user since 1985—except for a brief period in 2001 he prefers not to discuss.
